Each Extra is linked to a real WooCommerce product. When selected, that product is added to the cart as a normal line item. Store owners can choose where Extras appear, control their display order, apply cart-based display conditions, and optionally collect customer text directly within the block-based cart and checkout flow. #### Key Features * **Use real WooCommerce products as Extras** — offer gift wrapping, warranties, upgrades, services, or other optional products. * **Show Extras in Cart, Checkout, or both** — choose exactly where each Extra appears. * **Smart display conditions** — show Extras based on specific products, product categories, or cart subtotal. * **Collect customer text when needed** — add an optional or required text field for personalization, notes, or other Extra-related information. * **Protect Extra-only products** — prevent products intended only as Extras from being purchased normally through the storefront. * **Control display order** — decide how multiple Extras are ordered for shoppers. * **Keep fulfillment details with the order** — preserve relevant Extra information for store staff after checkout. * **Setup & Status dashboard** — review plugin configuration and important setup information from the WordPress admin. #### Compatibility **Extralio Cart Extras 1.0.0 is built for the native WooCommerce Cart and Checkout blocks.** Classic Cart and Checkout pages that use WooCommerce shortcodes are not supported in this release. #### Display Conditions Choose when each Extra should appear using one of the supported conditions: * **Always** * **Cart contains a specific product** * **Cart contains a product from a specific category** * **Cart subtotal is at least a specified amount** * **Cart subtotal is at most a specified amount** #### Privacy and Data Handling If customer text is enabled for an Extra, the entered text is stored temporarily in the WooCommerce cart and session and, after checkout, saved to the related WooCommerce order item. Extralio Cart Extras does not send customer text or other plugin data to any external service. The plugin integrates with WordPress personal data export and erasure tools. Exported data includes the related order number, order date, Extra label, customer text field label, and entered text. When the store permits WooCommerce order personal data to be removed, erasure removes customer-entered Extra text while retaining the order, product line, prices, fulfillment information, accounting data, and unrelated metadata. Customer-entered text follows the store’s WooCommerce and order-retention settings. Edit the WooCommerce Cart page. 2. Add “Extralio Cart Extras – Cart” inside the Cart Totals block. 3. Save the page. #### Checkout page 1. Edit the WooCommerce Checkout page. 2. Add “Extralio Cart Extras – Checkout” inside the Checkout Fields block. 3. Save the page. #### Setup checklist 1. Confirm WooCommerce is installed and active. 2. Install and activate Extralio Cart Extras for WooCommerce. 3. Add both Extralio Cart Extras blocks manually using the steps above. 4. Create a published, purchasable WooCommerce product for the Extra. 5. Open WooCommerce > Extralio Cart Extras and create and publish the Extra. 6. Enable Extra-only product when the linked product should be available only through the Extra. 7. Run a complete test order. 8. Verify customer text and fulfillment information on the order. The Extralio Cart Extras blocks render only when an eligible Extra exists for their location. ## FAQ ### Does this replace my checkout? No. Extralio works inside the native WooCommerce Cart and Checkout blocks. It adds optional Extras without replacing your existing checkout flow. ### Does it support classic Cart and Checkout pages? No. Version 1.0.0 supports the WooCommerce Cart and Checkout blocks only. Classic shortcode-based Cart and Checkout pages are not supported in this release. ### Is the price trusted from the browser? No. The browser does not submit a trusted price. The server reloads the Extra configuration and linked WooCommerce product, validates the selection, and WooCommerce uses the product’s current price when adding it to the cart. ### Does it support HPOS? Yes.
