They are never sent to visitors or exposed in front-end code.<\/li>\n<li>The plugin applies rate limits (10 chat requests per minute per IP) to protect against abuse. Visitors are naturally guided to the content that best matches their needs.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"are%20api%20keys%20stored%20securely%3F\"><h3>Are API keys stored securely?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>API keys are stored encrypted. Only logged-in site administrators can view or use them. They are not exposed to visitors or anyone outside your site.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"is%20there%20a%20rate%20limit%20for%20api%20requests%3F\"><h3>Is there a rate limit for API requests?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Yes. To protect the service from abuse, this plugin applies per-IP, per-minute limits on public endpoints.\nFrom the same IP address, <code>\/chat<\/code> can be used up to 10 times per minute.\nFrom the same IP address, <code>\/history<\/code> can be requested up to 30 times per minute.\nIf the limit is exceeded, the API returns HTTP 429 (Too Many Requests).<\/p>\n\n<p>Additionally, <strong>site-wide<\/strong> limits on <strong>WordPress content searches<\/strong> (not AI provider calls) apply to all visitors combined for the calendar day in your site timezone. The default is 500 searches per day until you save settings; set to 0 for unlimited.
