As of WordPress 4.4, the Get Shortlink<\/em> button is hidden by default. This plugin brings it back. Yay.<\/p>\n\n

Please note that the button does not exist at all in a Block Editor context. It will only show up when using the Classic Editor, for example, when editing a single attachment.<\/p>\n\n\n

This plugin requires PHP 7.0.<\/p>\n\n

  1. Upload the bring-back-the-get-shortlink-button<\/code> folder to the \/wp-content\/plugins\/<\/code> directory on your web server.<\/li>\n
  2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins<\/em> menu in WordPress.<\/li>\n
